◆ Ancient Tomb in Excavation Near Xi'an City

The Archaeology Institute in northwest China's Shaanxi Province has recently excavated the tomb of Huidi, the second emperor of the Western Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-25 A.D.)

The excavation shows that the tomb, located in the suburbs of Xianyang City, near Xi'an, is reportedly square in shape and its walls were well preserved.

What is more interesting is that another tomb was found 270 meters away from the emperor's tomb. After careful research, the tomb was confirmed as belonging to Empress Zhang Yan.

Further excavation is under way.
