The five-day China Domestic Travel Fair 2002, the biggest of its kind for ten years, opened in Nanjing on April 4.
Keeping with the current rapid growth of tourism, the fair is aimed at further promoting the country's domestic tourism market.
Exhibitions featuring unique and colorful tourism resources have been mounted by 35 delegations from across the country. There are a record 2,103 booths at the fair.
The "China tourism education forum" will be held to accentuate the role of education in increasing tourism revenue.
Experts say the standard of the fair is moving towards an international level because of its atmosphere of innovation and distinctive arrangements.
A "Confucius cultural temple fair" as well as folk singing and dancing can also be found at the fair.
