China's inbound tourism set a new record in the first 11 months of the year, according to the latest statistics from the China National Tourism Administration.
The number of inbound travelers reached 89.99 million, up 1.1 percent over last year's total. Foreign visitors reached 12.69 million, up 13.1 percent compared with last year.
From January to November, the number of visitors from five major sources of tourism, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and the Philippines, increased 30 percent compared with the corresponding period last year.
By the end of November, the number of visitors from the United States surpassed one million, becoming the fourth nation to do so.
