 ◆ More foreigners studying in China

China has attracted some 410,000 foreign students over the past ten years when about 300,000 Chinese have gone abroad for study, an Education Ministry official said recently.

Among the foreign students, 240,000 came to China in the last five years.

The academic fields the foreign students are mainly interested in have expanded from the Chinese language and traditional Chinese medicine to science and technology, economics, management and law, the official said.
