Tourists during the upcoming National Day holiday will find landing accommodations at their first choice destination to be relatively easy this year, but things will still be crowded. A national statistics and forecast center on tourism for the week-long holiday from October 1 to 7 publicized its latest information for the first time on Thursday, revealing that the country is prepared for mass tourist migration, but that some flights and rooms are filling up fast. Although there are still eight days to go before the start of the holiday, China National Tourism Administration and 13 other ministries, including the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Communications, have been busy bracing for the coming of the peak travel period. There are still vacancies in hotels in major cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Xi'an, Kunming, and Chongqing. An aerobatics stunt flight, involving a death-defying pass through two abutments of a bridge will take place at the Taihu Lake near Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, where the hotel room occupation rate from September 30 to October 5 has reached 60 per cent. Local tourism agencies have prepared some family-style inns for travelers from other cities. As for civil aviation, most of the cities have enough tickets for tourists. But more than 90 percent of tickets have been booked in the flights from Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen and Chengdu to Kunming and Guilin. Most cities have not started the business of booking train tickets during the holiday except Beijing, Guangzhou and Xiamen
