A delegation from Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has sealed economic and technological co-operation deals with enterprises and local governments in East China's Fujian Province.
It signed 30 co-operation projects recently. These included 26 economic and technological co-operation projects with a total investment of 3.795 billion yuan (US$485.3 million), and four trade projects with a trading volume of 1.085 billion yuan (US$131.03 million).
The projects will help promote agricultural mechanization, develop eco-friendly agriculture, drive the reconstruction of industrial enterprises and set up large retail markets.
According to the agreements, Heilongjiang Zhu'an Group and Fujian Haiyi Food & Beverage Co will jointly build a production base for frozen food and green food.
Harbin Steel Tube Factory and Fujian Sida Investment Co Ltd will co-invest 190 million yuan (US$22.9 million) in the production of steel tubes.
The projects also involve resource exploitation, medical production, education and other sectors. According to incomplete statistics, the two provinces signed 84 co-operation projects and 19 trade projects during the delegation's visit to Fujian, introducing 4.264 billion yuan (US$514.9 million) capital to Heilongjiang.
An overall economic co-operation agreement was also reached between the two provinces.
"We have great co-operation potential in expanding markets, reconstructing product structures, developing tourism and many other fields," said Song Fatang, governor of Heilongjiang Province.
