◆ Revolution-based Routes Catch Tourist Favor

With the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) coming nearer, travel agencies in China have offered a series of historical revolution-based travel routes. The "classical revolutionary course travel routes" promoted by some agencies start either from Jinggang Mountains of Jiangxi Province to Baotashan at Yan'an of Shaanxi Province or from Japanese-Russian prison at Lushun of Dalian City to Langyashan Mountains where five soldiers of the Eighth Route Army, led by the Chinese Communist Party during the War of Resistance Against Japan, jumped from the peak in order not to be held captive by Japanese troops in an action. The routes have almost reached different places in China. While some other travel agencies have promoted the route that starts from Jiaxing Lake where the first CPC national session was held to Shenzhen or from Jingganshan to Xibaipo where the CPC leaders led their troops defeated the troops of Chiang Kai-shek, leader of the Kuomintang, and marched into Beiping (nowadays Beijing) and established the People's Republic of China. All the travel routes not only have beautiful natural scenery but also have deeper connotation, especially compared with traditional travel routes. The revolution-based travel routes are all quite economic and most quoted prices are less than 2,000 Yuan. It is reported the travel routes have won people's favor. Many travel agencies have received reservations since beginning of the hot season in this year. The first group will set out to Jinggang Mountains on June 10 from Beijing and then more than 10 trains will be available for the travelers.
