The luxury passenger liner Crown left Shanghai on June 14 (Friday) on its maiden voyage to Cheju-dao in the Republic of Korea, reopening the sea route linking the two cities.
The passenger liner leaves Shanghai every Friday and returns the following Monday with a one way trip taking 22 hours.
The passenger liner, which is owned by Crown Investment Co of Macao, is the biggest operating from China.
The Shanghai-Cheju-dao route was opened and operated by the Shanghai Inchon International Ferry Co in August 1998 but the company canceled its passenger service last February.
With a gross tonnage of 28,500 tons, the Finnish-made Crown is 205 meters long, capable of carrying 1,000 passengers and offers luxury and economy berths.
It is equipped with a cinema, bar, beauty saloon, duty-free shop, swimming pool, mini golf course and basketball court.
