Construction of a biotechnology pharmaceutical park started recently in the port city of Tianjin, north China.
With investment from a local pharmaceutical company and Sicor Incorporated of the United States, the park will develop and manufacture interferon.
Located in the Tianjin Development Zone, the park, known as Hualida Biotech Park, occupies 7.2 hectares with a building space of 30,000 square meters.
The whole project will cost 250 million yuan (30 million US dollars) and be completed and put into operation in October next year.
