Tianjin

Tianjin is 85 miles southeast of Beijing. Tianjin is one of the four municipal cities under the direct jurisdiction of the Chinese central government and is the largest industrial city and port in northern China.

Historical changes in past 600 years have made Tianjin a unique place, mingling both ancient and the modern Chinese and Western styles.

Tianjin is well situated for travel by land, sea or air and has become an international tourist destination and a base in northern China for chartered tourist planes. For travelers interested in commerce, study or tours centered on such things as preventative medicine or folk customs Tianjin has many advantages. In addition, it now only takes an hour to travel by car from Tianjin to Beijing on the new Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway.

Ancient Cultural Street
Ancient Cultural Street is located in the northeast corner of the old city area and is the birthplace of Tianjin. It caters to people interested in antiques and local culture. The street is a recreation of an ancient Chinese city's street.

Xiamen

Xiamen

Xiamen, a picturesque city off the coast of southeastern China, consists of Gulang Island and some regions along the northern banks of the Jiujiang River. It was one of the first four special economic zones to open to the outside world.

Xiamen abounds with tourist resources. It is charming because of its beautiful island scenery, pleasant subtropical climate, brilliant culture, convenient transportation, and complete facilities for tourism.

Gulang Island
A small island in southwestern Xiamen, Gulang Island is known as the "Garden on the Sea." There are many 18th century European buildings on the island. The coastline zigzags with natural bathing beaches. The 304 foot-high Solar Rock, the highest peak on the island, is the symbol of the city. Many residents on the island are music fans and play musical instruments; hence its name of the Musical Island.
